Garmin has launched its Vivoactive 3 Music smartwatch. The newly launched wearable is similar to the Vivoactive 3 that was launched in November last year. It offers all the features of the older Vivoactive 3 with the added feature of music. Prior to this, the company had launched three wearable devices–Vivoactive 3, Vivomove HR and Vivosport.
The Garmin Vivoactive 3 is priced at $299.99 in the US which translates to Rs 20,502 in India. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music allows users to store around 500 songs that can be played via Bluetooth headphones. While there is no official word as to whether this smartwatch will be launched in India or not, the company had launched the older Vivoactive 3 last year at a price of Rs 24,990 in India.
Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music features
The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music smartwatch comes equipped with Garmin Pay which is compatible with credit and debit cards from MasterCard. It is a smart payment solution similar to Samsung Pay or Apple Pay. The smartwatch features a 1.2-inch display with 240×240 pixel resolution. The company also claims that the device is water resistant with up to 5 ATM level. The smartwatch promises to run for up to 13 hours on GPS mode and up to 7 days on the smartwatch mode.
The smartwatch also has a ‘swipe control’ feature wherein users can quickly scroll across apps just like we’ve seen in the Apple Watch. It is also capable of recording 7 timed activities and 14 days of activity tracking. Along with this, the wearable can also track the sleep, steps and overall health of the user. It is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music offers Bluetooth Smart, ANT+, GPS, GLONASS in the connectivity department along with optical HR, accelerometer, barometer, compass, and thermometer sensors.
